Community Adult Learning Council (CALC)
CALC is a volunteer council with representatives from community agencies committed to promoting and sponsoring non-credit education programming for adults in Fort Saskatchewan and Strathcona County. It is one of 81 such councils in the province of Alberta. Alberta Advanced Education and Technology works with the province's 81 councils to provide a range of programs across the province. Councils offer community-based, non-credit learning opportunities in adult literacy, adult English as a Second Language (ESL), employability enhancement, addressing community issues, as well as other lifelong learning opportunities. Subsidies are available to support low-income learners for some Next Step Continuing Education courses (where CALC support is indicated below the course description). Contact (780) 467-7292 for further information.
