Mental Health First Aid Certificate
Like physical first aid, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment can be found or until the crisis is resolved. Earn a certificate in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and be able to provide the help needed to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. MHFA is an evidence-based program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Topics covered include: substance related disorders, mood, anxiety, trauma and psychotic disorders.
NOTE: Mandatory that students attend all 12 hours of course instruction to receive the certificate.
