Summer School Credit Courses

CALM - Self Paced (SS)

This course follows the Alberta Education Program of Studies for Career and Life Management (CALM).

This program is open to students entering grade 10 in September 2021, is self-paced and is completed at home. It is best suited to students who are self-motivated, have demonstrated the ability to work independently to complete school assignments and assessments in the past and have strong literacy skills. It uses a series of paper-and-pen modules to meet the general outcome for CALM 20. There is a great deal of reading essential to the course and all assessments are written.

Modules may be picked up at the Sherwood Park Next Step office from June 21 to 25 or at Salisbury Composite High School July 5 to 16. Last day to register is July 16. Completed modules can be dropped off at Salisbury Composite High School from July 5 to 29 between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm.

Credit Course Fees:

• Course Fee: $0 (no fee)
• Registration Deposit: $80 (refundable upon successful completion of course)
• Some courses may require a textbook deposit of $125. This is for very few course offerings, and will be included on the registration form for applicable courses.
