Woodworking for Everyone (NEW)
The wood lathe is a wonderful and rewarding entry point to woodworking for everyone! Learn the basics of faceplate turning on a wood lathe by creating a small, highly polished hardwood dish. You will also gain experience using a table saw, mitre saw and router when you create a small cutting board made from a variety of hardwoods.

Location: Strathcona Christian Academy Secondary
Notes: Participants must wear non-tinted safety glasses. Bring your own or they will be supplied at $5.00 for regular or $8.00 for ones that fit over glasses. Shop coats will be provided as this is a dusty venture. Long hair must be tied back and closed-toed shoes must be worn for all classes.
